I am a Researcher (RTDB) at the Department of Mathematics of the Università degli Studi di Firenze. I work as a member of the Algebra group.
In 2018 I obtained the abilitazione as Professore Associato in Algebra.
In 2020 I was awarded the Mario Curzio Prize by the Accademia Pontaniana.
In 2022 I obtained the abilitazione as Professore Ordinario in Algebra.
My area of research is representation theory of finite groups. This brief introduction to the area was written together with Jay Taylor.

Previously I was a Gott Research Fellow in Pure Mathematics at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kaiserslautern as part of the working group led by Gunter Malle. My research in Kaiserslautern was initially funded by an LMS Postdoctoral Fellowship.
I completed my PhD in 2015 at Royal Holloway University of London under the (great) supervision of Mark Wildon. The focus of my PhD thesis was on the representation theory of symmetric groups. I obtained Bachelor and Master degrees at the University of Florence. My dissertation on Hausdorff dimension in profinite groups was supervised by Orazio Puglisi. A few years later I worked again on this topic with Gustavo Fernández and Jon González at the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao.
